  2. E-Mail Address
  3. Account Type:- Select IMAP from the list ignore POP.
  4. Incoming mail server: Enter “imap.gmail.comlower case
  5. Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter “smtp.gmail.comlower case
  6. User Name: Automatic Appears
  7. Password: Enter your email account password.

Note: If you live outside of the US you might need to use imap.googlemail.com and smtp.googlemail.com

  • Click on the more setting button.
  • Internet E-mail Settings dialog box pops up, Select Outgoing Server tab, and check the box “My outgoing server (SMTP) that requires authentication”.

  • Next Click Advance Tab, you have to make some server port adjustment manually.
  1. Incoming server: 993
  2. Incoming server encrypted connection: SSL
  3. Outgoing server encrypted connection TLS
  4. Outgoing server: 587

Outlook clear and test the credentials you entered, once it is completed you will get both the checkmark completed and you are ready to mount, in case something is wrong (majorly password), the system asks you to correct it.

Stage three setting is very important, here comes the steps:

  • Enter Less secure app access in the google search, it will open up certain results, click the first option, or copy-paste the “URL:https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps” into the address bar.

  • You are forwarded to the Less secure app access page, make sure you are login to the same Gmail account you like to add in Outlook 2010.
  • Slide to turn on “Allow less secure app“.
