How to Add Safe Sender in Outlook?
In Outlook, adding a Safe Sender helps ensure important emails aren’t mistakenly filtered as spam.
Here’s a quick guide on how to designate trusted email addresses or domains as Safe Senders.
There are quick two methods to add to the whitelist:
- Select the Automatically add people I email to the Safe Senders List checkbox.
- Add manually to the safe sender list.
Automatically add people I email to the Safe Senders List
Manually adding individual email addresses to the Safe Senders list in Outlook can be tedious.
However, Outlook offers a more efficient way to add senders and domains to the Safe Senders list.
With a simple adjustment, every email sent from your outbox will be automatically added to this list.
- Open Outlook >> Click on the Home Tab from the top left-hand corner of the screen.
- Click on Junk >> Junk E-mail Options.
- Junk emails options dialog box appears >> select safe sender >> & then select the Automatically add people I email to the Safe Senders List check box.
Click “OK” to finalize the settings. From this point forward, any email you send will automatically be added to your Safe Senders list.
Import from File and add in Safe Sender List
The method mentioned above whitelists an email address or domain in Outlook only after you’ve sent an email to the sender.
However, if you want to add multiple emails to the safe list at once, you can easily do so by importing a text file.
Here is the step on how it works:
Instead of entering email addresses one by one, click on Import from File.
Select your text file from the computer location and click open, your email address is automatically imported into the list, Click Ok to complete.
How to Add Email Sender or Domain into Whitelist in Outlook.com
The influx of email messages to your inbox can occasionally lead some to be categorized as junk due to various factors, including the email’s timing and content.

- Open the email from the sender you wish to whitelist.
